I’m an ND/LAc who supports patients with mental health, PTSD and chronic pain.  My primary modalities include acupuncture, counterstrain fascial release therapy and NeuroSomatic intelligence (retraining the nervous system and vagal tonification). While I have resisted treating the more complex digestive issues with which most patients arrive in my office, it’s impossible to ignore.  There is no treating mental health, PTSD or chronic pain without addressing digestive health. Dr Altman has provided an excellent infrastructure for me to support digestive health in conjunction with the other tools I have. More importantly, she has stressed that this is complex work, takes time, takes patience, and takes grace for potential mistakes on the road to success.  With the wisdom she has provided, my patients are getting far, far better care. In short, this course was a game-changer for my practice and I highly recommend it even for seasoned docs.

—Kristin Barnes, ND, LAc

“Dr. Altman has changed my life. I’ve been a patient at Bastyr for over ten years but since I’ve transitioned my care to her it has improved unbelievably. Before our first appointment she had reviewed my medical records. She had a few items that she wanted to address immediately like my blood pressure which had never been identified as pre-Hypertensive. I’m happy to say that seeing Dr. Altman regularly has helped me maintain health by identifying issues with my and addressing them before they became chronic conditions. I would recommend Dr. Altman as a primary care practitioner to anyone who wants to maintain good health or address digestive issues. She is attentive, respectful, empathetic, and one of the most informed general practitioners I have ever had the good fortune of being treated by.”
